Overview:
We are hiring an Engineer – QA / QC for the shipbuilding industry. The role involves inspection, documentation, quality control processes, material inspection, and coordination of testing activities for ship repair and shipbuilding projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carry out inspection and documentation activities related to ship repair and shipbuilding projects.
- Implement process quality control measures at various stages of production.
- Perform incoming material inspection and maintain related documentation.
- Coordinate and witness third-party inspections as required.
- Establish and witness NDT testing requirements such as DP, UT, RT, and MPT as applicable.
- Ensure quality compliance as per ISO standards, IACS requirements, and shipbuilding codes.
- Review drawings and technical documents to ensure quality requirements are met.
Job Requirements:
- Qualification: Graduate Engineer or Diploma holder in Shipbuilding Technology or Structural Fabrication Engineering.
- 4–6 years of experience in ship repair and shipbuilding QA/QC roles.
- Strong knowledge of inspection procedures, quality documentation, and process control.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Knowledge of current ISO standards, relevant IACS rules, and shipbuilding standards.
- NDT Level certification will be preferred.
