Job Overview :
We are hiring an Interior Designer – Projects for one of our clients. The role involves managing residential and office interior fit-out projects from planning and design through execution, finishing, and handover. The candidate will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing AutoCAD drawings, sourcing materials, coordinating with contractors and suppliers, and monitoring site progress to ensure projects meet approved designs, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage interior design projects from planning through execution, finishing, and handover.
- Develop practical and aesthetically suitable interior design concepts for residential and office spaces.
- Prepare space plans, floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations and other required drawings.
- Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings based on project requirements and site conditions.
- Select materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, fixtures, fabrics, accessories, and other interior elements.
- Source suitable materials and products from suppliers.
- Obtain and compare quotations from contractors and suppliers.
- Work within approved project budgets and recommend cost-effective alternatives when required.
- Conduct regular site visits and verify site measurements and conditions.
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Inspect workmanship, materials, finishes, furniture, and installations.
- Identify design or site-related issues and provide practical solutions.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, carpenters, MEP teams, consultants, and other project parties.
- Follow up on materials, samples, quotations, approvals, furniture, and deliveries.
- Ensure all materials and products match approved specifications and required quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, task lists, and key deadlines.
- Follow up on pending approvals, drawings, site works, and project activities.
- Identify potential delays and communicate them to the Company Director.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, quotations, approvals, material selections, and project documents.
- Use Google Workspace for documentation, communication, file management, and coordination.
- Ensure project quality, design intent, budget, and timeline requirements are maintained.
- Maintain professional communication with management, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Job Requirements :
- Educational qualification in Interior Design or a related field.
- Relevant experience in interior design and project execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Google Workspace.
- Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, and site execution.
- Good coordination, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project activities while maintaining quality and timelines.
