Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Engineer to support and manage the maintenance operations of a well-established company specialized in advanced sealing solutions. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, a solid understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques, and a commitment to driving equipment reliability and uptime. With a strong foundation in rotating equipment, condition monitoring, and technical troubleshooting, the Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in supporting production continuity and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance as per the schedule to ensure minimal downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, perform troubleshooting, and coordinate timely repairs.
• Monitor and ensure optimal performance of rotating equipment like pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, HVAC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and performance testing of new equipment or production lines.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment breakdowns, and spare parts usage.
• Ensure adequate inventory of critical spares and tools through coordination with stores and vendors.
• Utilize tools like vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis for condition monitoring.
• Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, and production teams to resolve equipment and process-related issues.
• Follow safety protocols and comply with statutory maintenance regulations, including LOTO and equipment safety checks.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for recurring breakdowns.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities including TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and Lean initiatives.
• Support energy-saving projects and drive reliability improvements to reduce operational costs.
• Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians and operators.
• Coordinate with OEMs and service providers for AMCs, major overhauls, and technical support.
Key Requirements :
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent).
• 4 -6 years of experience in a plant, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance role.
• Strong hands-on experience with mechanical maintenance of industrial machinery and utilities.
• Familiarity with maintenance software like CMMS, SAP, or ERP systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, machine manuals, and technical documentation.
• Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Knowledge of TPM, 5S, TQM, and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Team player with leadership capabilities for mentoring junior staff.
• Good understanding of safety standards, LOTO procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, team coordination, and documentation abilities.
