Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer (Civil) to ensure construction quality across sites in North and South Goa. Key duties include site inspections, testing materials, identifying defects, and inspecting finishing work like flooring and plumbing. The role also involves training workers on quality standards and conducting pre-delivery inspections. A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering and 2-5 years of experience in quality control or real estate are required. As a Quality Engineer, you should be able to prepare and implement the quality control guidelines. Besides, you should also be able to identify any problems in the production process and suggest improvements. You should be able to prepare detailed and accurate reports on the production findings.
Responsibilities
- Checking the existing quality standards and developing new ones
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards for materials and workmanship.
- Monitor construction activities throughout the project.
- Test materials, including steel and concrete.
- Identify and address defects.
- Inspect finishing work such as flooring, plumbing, electrical, doors, windows, and painting.
- Conduct training sessions for contractors and workers to improve quality control knowledge.
- Recommend improvements to quality processes.
- Perform pre-delivery inspections of apartments before handover to customers.
- Reviewing quality control systems
- Examining the quality and performance and suggesting improvements
- Ensuring that the materials meet quality standards and specifications
- Inspecting and ensuring that the processes and products comply with the quality standards
- Preparing and implementing quality control guidelines
- Updating the Quality Management Systems on a regular basis
- Creating and presenting detailed reports on corrective actions
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in quality control or within the real estate sector.
- Strong understanding of construction quality standards and material testing.
- Ability to conduct thorough inspections and identify defects.
- Good communication skills to train contractors and workers on quality standards.
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills for addressing quality issues.
- Willingness to travel and work on sites across North and South Goa.
- Complete knowledge of quality management and software tools and processes
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems
- Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills
- Having an eye for detail
- Good time management and project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to offer excellent customer service
