Job Overview

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in managing and expanding the store’s  retail operations in Goa. This dynamic role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of overseeing day-to-day store operations, driving sales growth, ensuring excellent customer service, and expanding footprint across Goa. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social enterprise and committed to store’s mission of empowering marginalized communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Store Management:
    • Oversee the daily operations of existing stores in South Goa and any upcoming stores.
    • Ensure that stores are well-maintained, fully stocked, and meet high standards of visual merchandising.
    • Handle customer escalations, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Growth:
    • Drive sales and profitability of the stores through effective management, promotional activities, and staff motivation.
    • Explore opportunities for pop-up shops and exhibitions to maximize sales potential and brand visibility.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales associates, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
    • Provide on-going coaching and development to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Strategic Expansion:
    • Identify and explore new locations in both South and North Goa for store expansion.
    • Maintain strong relationships with leadership teams of resorts where the stores are located, ensuring mutual business growth and collaboration.
  • Coordination with B2B Teams:
    • Collaborate with the B2B Corporate Gifting and Wedding Favours team to handle and close leads generated from the stores.
    • Ensure smooth communication and coordination between retail operations and other business units within store.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management, with a proven track record in sales, team management, and operational excellence.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and manage retail operations effectively.
  • Customer Focus: Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer issues.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify growth opportunities and drive strategic expansion plans.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
