Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Manager to lead and drive the sales efforts in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in hospitality, a deep understanding of Goa as a destination, and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and working closely with the events and banquet teams to ensure client satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
1. Client Acquisition:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the local and corporate markets.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and their needs.
- Actively engage in sales activities to attract and secure new clients.
2. Sales Process Management:
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Prepare and present sales proposals and contracts.
3. Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with existing clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new clients.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Follow up with clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and secure repeat business.
4. Event Coordination:
- Work closely with the events and banquet teams to coordinate and facilitate bookings for conferences, weddings, and other events.
- Ensure that all client requirements are communicated effectively to relevant hotel departments.
5. Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes.
- Provide regular reports on market conditions and potential opportunities.
6. Achieve Sales Targets:
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales performance.
7. Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions.
- Prepare regular sales reports for management review.
Job Requirements
- Experience of 5 to 7 years in the field of Hospitality sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven track record of selling Goa as a destination.
- Connected and well versed with industry trend.
- A proactive, go-getter attitude with a willingness to travel.
- Ability to meet and exceed budget and sales targets.
- Has exceptional communication skills, with good command over English language.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport and convince others.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Understanding of guest satisfaction, revenue maximization, analysis, and process management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
