Optical company based in Mumbai is looking for Assistant General Manager. You will be responsible to deliver sales and profit targets, manage and develop people and improve processes and systems of multiple regions (combined turnover of atleast)
Job Responsibilities
Sales 
  • Exceed Sales & Service targets in each range
  • Meet predefined  metrics such as these and others as and when defined
    • no of client visits
    • enquiry generation
    • no of demonstrations
    • no of quotations generated
    • no of installations & customer trainings
    • collection of receivables, EMD, SD, BG etc.
  • Meet profit numbers through protection of gross margins and cost optimisation
  • Increase Client Base year on year
  • Ensure that installation and servicing is done as per company Standards
  • Generate enquiries for AMC and periodical servicing as per agreement
  • Stock Management and rotation to ensure quality, maintenance and availability
  • Audit processes to ensure compliance and assess service levels through customer interaction
  • Ensure Marketing Activities and Promotions are executed successfully
  • Quarterly Competitor Activity Analysis
  • Innovate through the introduction of new products and vendors
  • Effectively implement Company Strategy
New Business Development Role:
  • Introduce new Analytical Products sourced from India and Abroad ,without blocking money in demo and sample units
  • Making a List of all Analytical Exhibitions in India and abroad and attending them or deputing someone else to attend them
  • Looking at Preparation of Catalogues, Training , Roll out of these Products ,under the company Brand .
People Management – Instruments
  • Timely recruitment of quality manpower
  • Induct new Joiners to company culture, rules and regulations
  • Ensure minimum employee grievance
  • Ensure manpower productivity through minimum cost
  • Conduct effective performance appraisal
  • Continuous employee engagement post appraisal to affect individual performance
  • Ensure appropriate training to build skill and capability
  • Work with Team to develop second level leaders at all levels
  • Live the core values and ensure dissemination of the same within the team
  • Training on core ranges and new products /brands introduced
Reporting & Administration – Instruments
  • Ensure Statutory Compliances
  • Supervise Imports as and when required
  • Implementation and adherence of regional team to company rules, regulations and processes
  • Manage Travel and Conveyance Expenses to ensure cost optimisation and adherence to Company Policy
  • Manage accounts team to ensure timely payments to vendors and employees and accurate data entry
  • Conduct weekly team meetings to monitor performance and plan schedule
  • Ensure accurate data entry and report generation in ERP. Approve Sales Quotations, Purchase Quotations, Leaves and Expenses related to visits in ERP
  • Ensure regional reports are accurate and sent on time to Directors , HO and Management
People Management & Operations - 
  • Timely recruitment of quality manpower

Job Requirements
  • 10 to 15 years of similar or relevant experience.
