Overview :
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager/Manager – Production to lead a manufacturing at a leading Cosmetics manufacturing company. This is a high- impact role that demands a strong understanding of cosmetic manufacturing processes, a sharp focus on operational excellence, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Job Responsibility:
- Develop and implement strategies and plans to meet monthly production goals and objectives in collaboration with Sales, PPIC, purchase & factory manager.
- Oversee day-to-day packing & manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production and meeting production targets in skin care, hair care & color cosmetics sections.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various processes for department.
- Continuously monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce manpower & operating costs.
- Ensure compliance of quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices on production floor.
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to the production staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in the plant environment.
- Lead and participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
- Basis project collaborate with R&D / work independently for successful scale-up & trouble shoot in batches.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, equipment, and process improvements.
- Attend worker issues & keep them motivated.
- Work closely with worker contractor to fill manpower gap as per need.
- Collaborate with QC & QA to handle customer & FDA audits.
- Maintain day to day production documents track records.
- Maintenance of equipment.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetics, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 8–10 years of proven experience in a leadership role within the cosmetics manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of cosmetics manufacturing processes, including batch processing.
- Demonstrated experience in plant setup, commissioning, and process optimization.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving production targets.
- In-depth understanding of safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality management systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and experience managing compliance and audits.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High-impact technical presentation skills.
- Ability to understand business strategy and align production operations accordingly.
- Result-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond with agility to evolving market demands.
- Travel to other locations as required for business needs.
