We are seeking an HR Assistant for one of our clients who are reputed Mumbai-based conglomerate with interests in real estate, infrastructure, shipping, and port operations, offering a dynamic and growth-oriented work environment. . They are is currently looking for an HR Assistant to support recruitment, employee engagement, and daily HR activities.
The HR Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Human Resources department in managing day-to-day HR operations. The role focuses on recruitment, employee engagement, compliance, and maintaining a positive workplace culture. This position requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Staffing :
- Manage job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination.
- Maintain a database of potential candidates for future hiring needs.
- Provide regular updates to the reporting manager regarding recruitment progress.
- Candidate Sourcing and Screening :
- Review and shortlist resumes based on job requirements.
- Conduct initial screenings to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit.
- HR Policy Implementation:
- Ensure adherence to company HR policies and procedures.
- Support HR initiatives and assist in maintaining policy compliance.
- Job Advertising:
- Draft and post job descriptions on job portals, company websites, and social media platforms.
- Interview Coordination and Support :
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Prepare interview questions and evaluation forms as directed.
- Gather interviewer feedback and share updates accordingly.
- Offer Management and Onboarding :
- Assist in negotiating job offers and managing salary discussions.
- Coordinate onboarding processes and ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Maintain communication with new employees to enhance their onboarding experience.
- Compliance and Reporting :
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data confidentiality.
- Support HR compliance and documentation in line with best practices.
- Workplace Culture and Engagement :
- Organize employee engagement and team-building activities.
- Contribute to fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace environment.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional HR certifications (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in HR operations or support functions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive) and Microsoft Office.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
