Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Interior Designer to join a leading real estate developer in Goa, known for harmonizing exceptional design with purposeful execution. In this role, the Interior Designer will manage the complete design lifecycle — from concept development and space planning to material selection, contractor coordination, and final execution — ensuring each interior is functional, safe, sustainable, and aligned with project objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design Conceptualization: They start by brainstorming and conceptualizing designs, often using sketches, mood boards, or digital tools to visualize ideas.
- Client Interaction: Engaging with clients/designers to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for the space. This involves multiple meetings to discuss design concepts, material choices, and project goals.
- Space Planning: Creating floor plans, considering spatial functionality, traffic flow, and ergonomics to optimize space utilization.
- Material Selection: Researching and selecting suitable materials, colors, textures, furniture, lighting, and accessories that align with the design concept and client specifications.
- Design Development: Producing detailed cad drawings, 3D renderings, and specifications for contractors and suppliers to ensure accurate implementation.
- Project Management: Overseeing project progress, managing timelines, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and ensuring that the design is executed as envisioned.
- Site Visits: Regular visits to project sites to monitor progress, address any on-site challenges, and ensure that design plans are being followed.
- Budget Management: Keeping track of project expenses, negotiating prices with suppliers, and maintaining budgets set by clients.
- Sustainability & Safety: Incorporate sustainable design practices and environmentally responsible material choices. Ensure all designs comply with safety, building codes, and industry standards.
Job Requirements:
- BS degree / Diploma in Interior Design or a related field.
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in interior design, including consultations, renovations, space planning, and new construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, or similar design software.
- Ability to create detailed drawings, 3D renderings, layouts, and visual presentations.
- Strong understanding of color theory, lighting design, materials selection, and custom furniture design.
- Proven experience managing interior projects from concept to execution.
- Strong creative ability, imagination, and a refined eye for design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong project management capabilities — including budgeting, coordination, and scheduling.
- Ability to interpret and translate client needs into functional design solutions.
- A portfolio of completed work demonstrating design expertise and creativity is required.
