Overview :
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of the production facility of a well-established company specialized in advanced sealing solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, production planning, and implementation of systems like TPM, TQM, and JIT. This role requires hands-on leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across all production functions.
Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and Execute Production Plans: Prepare and monitor monthly and daily production schedules in coordination with the dispatch and planning teams.
- Oversee CNC Operations: Ensure all CNC machines are programmed, optimized, and running efficiently. Support and troubleshoot CNC program issues when needed.
- Team Management & Training: Lead, train, and guide production teams on planning, CNC programming basics, and best manufacturing practices.
- Implement Production Systems: Drive the implementation of TPM, TQM, and JIT systems to improve productivity and quality.
- Monitor Production Performance: Review daily production reports, identify low-performing areas, and prepare CAPA where necessary.
- Ensure Machine & Material Readiness: Coordinate with the maintenance team for machine uptime and ensure raw material and spare availability.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to optimize production efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve product quality.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate production records and submit daily reports to management.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate or Post Graduate with technical background (BE/B.Tech/M.Tech).
- 10+ years of experience in the engineering/automotive industry.
- Strong expertise in CNC programming, setup, and cycle optimization.
- Proven experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Knowledge and practical implementation of TPM, TQM, and JIT.
- Effective leadership, planning, and team training capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Proficiency in production planning and machine utilization.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing best practices.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Proficient with ERP/SAP systems.
- Age – Above 45 years.
