Overview:
We are hiring a Safety Engineer for the shipbuilding industry. The role focuses on implementing safety practices, conducting safety reviews, preparing compliance documentation, and providing safety training to engineers and contractor workforce involved in ship repair and shipbuilding activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct periodic safety review meetings at the site.
- Prepare periodic safety compliance reports as per project and statutory requirements.
- Develop and maintain HSE procedures, safety checklists, and reporting formats.
- Provide safety training to engineers, supervisors, and contractor labour workforce.
- Ensure compliance with safety norms during ship repair and shipbuilding activities.
- Assist the production team by identifying safety risks and recommending preventive measures.
- Monitor on-site safety practices and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Job Requirements:
- Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety.
- 3–5 years of experience in Ship Repairs, Shipbuilding, or relevant industrial environments.
- Experience in conducting safety meetings and preparing safety documentation.
- Strong knowledge of HSE procedures and safety compliance systems.
- Ability to deliver safety training programs effectively.
Good coordination skills with production and contractor teams.
