Overview:
We are hiring a Senior Manager – Shipbuilding / Ship Repairs for the shipbuilding industry. The role involves overall management of production-related activities, including handling new build projects and ship repair works from construction to delivery, while ensuring coordination with customers, authorities, and internal teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage overall production activities related to shipbuilding and ship repair projects.
- Liaise with customers and statutory authorities as required.
- Handle individual new build projects from construction stage till delivery.
- Oversee ship repair projects and ensure timely execution as per scheduled.
- Plan and control project activities including task scheduling, procurement, a budgeting.
- Monitor project risks and ensure effective risk management.
- Ensure execution of projects as per approved project schedules.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and sub-contractors.
- Select contractors and sub-contractors for various projects.
- Ensure proper documentation, control systems, and compliance with standard.
Job Requirements:
- Qualification: Graduate Engineer or Diploma holder in Shipbuilding Technology.
- 15–20 years of experience in shipbuilding and ship repair projects.
- Strong knowledge of overall production management for new builds and repairs.
- Experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Knowledge of documentation control, current ISO standards, relevant IACS, and shipbuilding standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project.
- Good coordination, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
